Problems running Oracle installer on Pentium4 or Dell GX400

When trying to run Oracle Installer on a Pentium 4 (specifically Dell GX400) with Win2k/SP2, it starts executing and then closes (this can only be seen through the task manager).

This occurs on all the Dell GX400s in our shop. We are using the Oracle 8.1.5 client install CD.

Our only work around is to image the installation and distribute it. The apps work, but the installer still won't work.

Can anyone verify this as an issue of the Dell GX400 or of the Pentium 4 (Haven't seen anything on Dell's website)?
