Two fold problem please help

I have a two fold problem... Being new to Oracle I am apt to make mistakes but please bear with me.

Problem 1:

ORA-01658: unable to create INITIAL extent for segment in tablespace SYSTEM When attempting to run select queries I receive the following error.... In a attempt to repair this I caused my second problem.

Problem 2:

sql> CREATE TABLESPACE SYSTEM DATAFILE '/SYSTEM_02.DBS' SIZE 100M;

which of course worked fine... But now I have a hard disk space problem.

Question 1: Is it possable to remove the SYSTEM_02.DBS file? Question2: How can I PROPERLY fix problem 1 ? Received on Sat Dec 15 2001 - 03:52:38 CST
