I've got the same problem with 8i on w2k
it takes 15 (almost exactly) seconds to login to the oracle
that occurs while logging to the dbase using sql*plus and
simple pro*c program



it does NOT occur, when logging to the oracle using jdbc:oracleThin driver



any ideas?
