Hello All:

I was interested in leaving the VB field. I was considering Oracle programming. As a newbie, I was hoping that you experienced programmers can tell me more about the PL/SQL field. I have two questions:

  1. What are the must have skills that a PL/SQL programmer needs. In other words, you better know this ( fill in the blank) if you want to be an Oracle coder.
  2. What's the Oracle programming field like. I know that is a broad question, but, I have no idea what's it like to work in this field. My only experience in programming is Visual Basic. I have some exposure creating stored procedures. However, I am sure that back end world is very different. So any wisdom that you can share will be appreciated.
