Justifying the Cost

I'm re-writing a large app which is currently in multiple pieces from dBase IV to FoxPro 2.6 DOS to VFP 6. I planned to use Oracle and Forms with PL/SQL and Oracle AS for the web. After getting a software price for a couple of dual processor boxes - 1 db server & 1 web server - I've had to go back and look at SQL Server. How can I justify a cost that is more than double? If you'd care to comment on another approach that might be a better solution and/or cheaper, I welcome it.

TIA, ...Steve Received on Thu Oct 11 2001 - 08:46:07 CDT
