You are right. $ORACLE_BASE/lib should have been $ORACLE_HOME/lib.
Another thing I noticed is that oracle seems to have filled up
my 500MB /tmp partition. Perhaps the minimum requirements for
the size of the oracle writeable $TMP directory ought to be
larger than 400MB.
