Insert Stmt: Text with Carriage return

Hi,

I'm trying to insert a text into a varchar field using SQL Plus or sqlldr.

The text to insert contains carriage returns. I've found a way to insert such texts with SQL Plus, but it's rather compilcated (insert some character instead of the CR and replace it later). Shouldn't there be a simplier way?
