oracle 8i to sybase connection

I am loading some data from Sybase into Oracle 8i and run some stored procedures and scripts to summarize the data. I then use Crystal Reports 7.0 to do some reporting and provide the reports on our Intranet.

I would like to know if I can acces the Sybase data from Oracle (preferably from sql*plus) instead of loading the data into Oracle.

can I create a database link and using ODBC access Sybase this way ?

any other suggestions
