Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.tools -> [JDBC] Retrieve Hong Kong Characters - SQLException : Protocol Violation
Hi,
We are using Oracle 9iAS and connecting to Oracle RDBMS 8.0.4. Recently, we have written some JSP programs using JDBC thin client to retrieve data from Oracle RDBMS 8.0.4 where the data contains some Hong Kong Chinese Characters produced by HKSAR. However, when we retrieved some of those Hong Kong chinese characters from the database, we got the SQL Exception as followed :
SQLException : Protocol Violation.
I have checked that the exception was thrown while the program ran the statement "executeQuery()".
Have anyone got this problem before? how did you solve the problem?
Look forward to hearing from your good news.
Thanks a lot in advance.
