Hi Stephen,

Thanks for your answer. I think it's more probable I'm misinterpreting my situation, anyway:

The database I'm trying to connect to is local, and was installed on my machine after logging in with my username and password. I need to start it in order to use Oracle translation tool I work with to localize Oracle SW.

Do you think you have a solution?
