  We use the following at the end of our dumps. It assumes you have archivelogs named ending in .arc and they are duplexed onto two file systems /u05 and /u06:

    # Remove old archive log files (> 7 days)

       find /u05 -atime +7 -name "*.arc" -exec rm {} \;
       find /u06 -atime +7 -name "*.arc" -exec rm {} \;
