changing report layout at runtime

Hello,

I was recently helped on the topic of dynamic reports. My problem is that I am calling a report from a form which specifies the columns I want to be shown on the report. I have got that to work but if I hide a column it leaves gaps between the column before and the one after it. I want to be able to change the layout of the report at run time, so that the unhidden columns take the place of hidden ones and there are no gaps left in the report. Please let me know how to go about doing this.
