I suspect your restore works fine.


Remember: you're performing a online/hot backup. This means you have enabled
archiving. Restoring the online/hot backup will  apply the archived redo
logs. These contain your inserted records. If you don't want these inserted
records you'll have to do a point-in-time recovery to a moment just before
you started inserting these records.


So the restore works fine but does more then you expected.
