rollback segment

Some times (not often)  when my batch file perform a too long operation,
Oracle hang du to a full rollback segment problem. I use 16 rollback
segments of 400 Mo.


Is there a solution ? Will it help to drop and recreate rollback segments
(to be sure they are completely purged) ? Any hint ? Thanks.
