Hi,

I am using release 8.1.5.0.0. I am new to Oracle.

I have connection problem from the client machine to the server. On the server machine, the SQL*PLUS is working fine with the "SYSTEM" account.

I have configured a listenter on TCP/IP port 1521 on the server, when I try to connect from a windows 2000 professional machine through SQL*PLUS, I am getting an error saying:

ORA-12541: TNS: no listener

Do I need to run all the oracle services on the NT Server Machine?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Regards,
