Database-Link

Hello Oracls,

i have a problem with my "old" Oracle database release (Oracle Version 8.0.4.0.0) and a new one (Oracle Version 8.1.6.0.0). I try to connect this two databases with:

create public database link LINKNAME using 'SERVICENAME'

All data in tsnames.ora alright, cause i can logon the database and have check out the Net8 Assistant. The link also alright between two Version 8.1.6.0.0 or two Version 8.0.4.0.0.

What is the problem?!
