Oracle 8.1.6 on Solaris or Linux?

A project has emerged at my work place where I have the opportunity to
support Oracle 8.1.6 on a Sun Solaris box.  However, at home, I'm
running RedHat Linux 7.  Does anyone know whether the techniques used
to administer Oracle under Linux are similar enough to be able to use
under Solaris or would I need to learn them both?



Any advice will be gratefully received.
