Some have succeeded installing Oracle with ME. But many have had nothing but problems as ME is not exactly a robust operating system. I would either go Win2000 or NT4. Either is far far better.
Also I would suggest Oracle 8.1.5 or 8.1.7. The 8.1.6 version was not one of Oracle's proudest moments.
