8i install & net8

Installed 8i client on a win98 machine. net8 assistants do not load properly. They seem to try to load, but I don't get any windows. If I ctrl+alt+del, I see Launch and Jrew.

All my Enterprise Manager tools work correctly and connect to the database just fine. During install of 8i client, it configured a net service name, which tested out fine at time of install.

DB is on a NT4SP6.

Any ideas?
