Hi,
I'd get it, it's only 5 bucks, and I wish I could get a copy for that!
However you need to understand that it is really dated, but still o.k for training and gaining an understanding of databases. It was the last version of oracle database that oracle did for the mac It should act as a server, since it uses tcp or appletalk.
the client is the most useful part, since it allows you to connect to an oracle database, I currently use it against 8i, but it is limited in functionality, since there have been no updates for 3-4 years.
it's sad , but oracle just does not support the mac platform.
