Long column issue

Hi,
Can anybody give me idea regarding this problem. I'm trying to store resume (text fromat) in Oracel database for that I'm using long columns and when I want to display it, it looses original format it shows everything in paragraph. Is anybody faced this kind of problem. I appreciate if somebody can give me directions. Thanks
