Hello

I have a win nt 4 server with 816 ent edition database.  Now this seems
strange and oracle help desk could not help me out so here goes......

I could connect to my database fine for the past seven months and all of
my 200 client machines can connect fine.

I have just installed OAS 408 onto the same machine into a different
directory all went well but alas when installing the OAS I didnt
shutdown the database.

Now when I try to connect to the database I get a message that could not
resolve the service name  ora-12154....

I can connect at the server itself but not on any of my clients....
Now I use the same Tnsnames.ora file throughout my network and the same
on the server....
I have the files all in the right directories and everything seems fine
the listner is started in the services throught control panel
settings...

I am at a loss

anyone give me some help would be good
