I hate to say this, but the bottom line to this is of course: 8.0.5 has been desupported and it has never been certified against win2k. So there is *no* guarantee at all it will work. Still without your listener.ora the only recommendation I can make is look in your listener.log and or listener.trc. If that doesn't provide a clue enable tracing (trace_level_listener=16 in listener.ora) and bounce the listener.
