if the installer fails, then possibly you're not running the version
of the installer for 7.3.4... if you just want it gone, regardless
of how, then delete the oracle_home directory (normally c:\orawin)
and then edit the registry .... oops, sorry, I was thinking NT...
can't help you on the registry on Win98
