JPEG image into LONG RAW column

I need to insert JPEG images into a table that has two columns:
VARCHAR(11) and LONG RAW.  I've searched MetaLink and have only found
examples on how to insert JPEGs into a BLOB using the DBMS_LOB package.



The LONG RAW column can't be changed to BLOB.



Any hints or PL/SQL examples would be greatly appreciated.
