You need the connectivity stuff. You have to install the Oracle client on the machine in order for the driver to work. The driver doesn't know how to connect to the DB; it know how to talk to SQLNet. So you can't get there from here unless you install the Oracle client software. Why don't you want to install the Oracle client software? it won't bite. Jim
