ODBC Will Not Work

Hi Folks: After running my VB6 application under Personal Oracle for Windows95 on a Win98 installation just fine, I got WindowsME and of course, the connection would not open.

So, I formatted yet again, and re-installed Win98SE and made a new connection under Oracle for Windows 98 and even DL'ed the new Oracle 8.1.6 and when I start the VB program, the connection will not open as it used to.

I am stumped and don't know what to do next. Can someone give me some direction? Thanks in advance.
