I must name one of the columns in one of my tables "percent". I have very little choice about doing so - if we don't do it, we lose a significant portion of functionality, no two ways about it.
Problem is, Oracle doesn't allow you to name a column "percent". It's a keyword.
However, I found the following statement on technet.oracle.com:
"Keywords (...) have a special meaning to Oracle but are not reserved words and so can be redefined."
But I can't find anywhere instructions on how to redefine a keyword. Does anyone know?
