HI,

In most of our tables, we have an internal ID field..why is this? Lets say we have a customer_id in the CUST table and an order id in the ORDER table..why do we need a customer_int_id and an order_int_id in each table??

These int_id fields are hardly used for any linkages, could they be used for indexing? Why not just use the order_id and the cust_id fields for indexing??

Thanks!
