        Well, if you are a developer or DBA Oracle owns a commanding share of the market
which means more jobs or, if you are selling your services/products, more potential
customers. Oracle jobs also pay better than the corresponding Sybase job titles.

        Technically, I believe that Oracle is a superior product and that Oracle's product
development is more in tune with the needs of the marketplace.
