You should start with the basics, so start learning SQL and forget about Java SQL, SQLJ and jdbc for a while. Build a good foundation! So I would download Personal Oracle 8i from http://technet.oracle.com or order it there and then buy the SQL guide to Oracle by Rick van der Lans ISBN: 0201565455 for $44.95 at any decent bookshop.
