> Lawson and SAP are about equal, though each is slightly tailored to its
own market. Though SAP has more market share, Lawson is actually less
proprietary in its technical foundations.
In implementing Lawson, I would budget 250/500/5: $250K for consulting and 500 person-hours for in-house staff to get the implemenation, and 5 months to pull it off. You would need Lawson experts, not just experts in Lawson's particular technical platform.
I've search high and low for 3rd party Lawson documentation, but to no avail. It's surprising considering its popularity. Their in-house docs are pretty good, though.
