Oracle DBA Certification Questions

What tools/materials/classes do I need to attain a DBA certification? I have one year of experience with Oracle 7. Did such things as creating databases, tablespaces, tables, indexes, views. Made applications (with now defunct PowerObjects) that used the data
dictionary extensively to ensure that development database primary tables were the same design as those on a production database. Unfortunately it has been about 2 years since I last touched an Oracle database. Spent that time working on an old antiquated system that was "supposed" to migrate into Oracle. I must get up to par as quickly as possible so that I can further my career in a productive and stimulating manner. Thanks in advance for your expert help.

Also, is there such as thing as Oracle 8 light, so that I can get hands on experience at home while I study for the DBA certification?
