Thanks I didn't know that was there. Now I do I have a couple of (minor)
issues with it.

1. Delete HKLM\software\odbc. Doesn't seem advisable to me unless Oracle is
the only thing that uses odbc on the machine.

2.  Step 2 delete HKLM\Oracle Step 12 Delete oracle_base directories (found
in HKLM\oracle) always read to the end before following step by steps..

Apart from the environment vars which I had forgotten it looks functionally
the same as my suggestion though.
