Oracle System Analyst and Developer

Active Intelligence is a systems integration company specializing in Retek's Retail Solutions portfolio. With offices in Canada and the United States, and a client list of brick and mortar and internet retail businesses that spans the globe, Active Intelligence offers the retail community dynamic partnership opportunities for the successful implementation of Retek's retail systems.

Candidates will be responsible for delivering quality software within specified deadlines and supporting the delivery of these solutions to our customers with guidance from senior level analyst. Job responsibilities include:

. Plan, conduct, and supervise complex information systems assignments;
includes preparing proposals and cost estimates for future work.

. Analyze, design, and prepare program specifications to support a broad
range of business systems requirements and technical specifications.

. Design and apply new methods and procedures.

. Communicate and discuss project related status and issues with clients and
other departments.

. Assign and review the work and coordinate the
activities of assigned personnel; includes scheduling work to meet completion dates as well as updating management of project status and outstanding issues.

. Analyze, revise, and update existing programs and related documentation.

. Create necessary end user documentation.

. Assist with the review and evaluation of personnel performance.

Qualifications:

Individuals with strong academic and/or retail background along with a displayed willingness and ability to learn will be considered. Must also be willing to travel extensively (up to 95%) to Retek client sites across North America and Europe and have strong inter-personal and communication skills. Specific qualifications include the following:

. Bachelor's degree necessary; computer science,
mathematics or related fields preferred, all others considered.

. Nice to have Retek experience.

. Minimum four years of related work experience.

. Experience with the following are a must have with a minimum of three plus
years experience: Oracle DBMS, Oracle Developer/2000, ProC, and PLC.

. Oracle Designer/2000, PL*SQL, UNIX, Windows 95/NT, client/server
development.
