Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.tools -> Why session not going away?
Hi,
I am using ODBC driver to connect to an Oracle database. I have seen several cases that when my program which initiated those connections has gone away, but the sessions are still in the database with objects locked. Then I cannot restart my program because of a deadlock. I wonder why those session did not die though the process that opened them had died. How can I avoid this?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Chuck
