Thanks in advance for any help.

We have an application developed in VB6 that currently utilizes an Access database. Our clients need NOT have MsAccess installed. The app is for limited distribution, installed only by us and currently is single user.
We need to convert it to client/server to operate over our clients' existing networks for multiple users (3-8 typical). Therefore we need to minimize network traffic. Since Access is not good at this, we are considering Oracle or SQL Server, so we can utilize stored procedures, etc. If we use Oracle, can we distribute the app with the Oracle database to our clients even if they do not have their own license for Oracle?
