Information Architect Needed, Durham, NC

The following contract postion is available for Durham, NC:

RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate in the overall design of Data Warehouse and Decision Support Information Architecture. May be involved in any or all of the following activities: data requirements analysis; logical and physical data modeling, data dictionary and metadata development and/or maintenance. Helps define corporate policies, procedures, and standards related to decision support information architecture and ensure they are properly communicated and enforced. Works closely with business leaders and IS staff to establish data architecture solutions to meet specific decision support business requirements. REQUIRED: A college degree or equivalent experience. A minimum of 1-2 years data architecture experience and knowledge of a major Case Tool required. Must have knowledge and experience with database concepts and at least one relational Data Base Management System. Excellent communication skills required. Knowledge of Oracle, Oracle Designer 2000 and Oracle Reports strongly preferred. DESIRED: This position is listed as an Information Architect II but is essentially a data modeler for the corporate Data Warehouse. The skills we are most interested in are data modeling and Oracle Designer 2000. Another modeling tool (ERWin or other) would be okay but Designer 2000 is preferred.
