Hi
I have Oracle 8.0.5.0.0 for linux. I installed it on Red Hat linux 5.2 and works well. However, this version of linux does not support my RivaTNT video card so I do not have the X windows environment. I only have one big screen and I have to log out from one account to log into another.

So, I purchased Red Hat linux 6.2 which recognizes my hardware. X windows works fine. Now the problem is Oracle. Running sqlplus gives me a core dump. Svrmgrl does the same thing, although svrmgrlO does the job. Since there is no such a thing as sqlplusO, I cannot run sqlplus at all. Has anyone been faced with this problem and found a workaround? Am I missing something here? Do I need a different Oracle version? Thanks.
