Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.misc -> Oracle8i on Suse patches
Hi
I installed Oracle8i (8.1.5) on Suse (6.2) Linux with the patch files
from the Suse Web pages. The installation worked ok so far, but there
are two things I'd like to know before I continue.
patching file runInstaller Hunk #1 FAILED at 30. 1 out of 1 hunk FAILED -- saving rejects to file runInstaller.rej patching file install/oraparam.ini
What does that mean and how can I fix it (if necessary) ?
2. According to the official Oracle Installation Guide, I have
to run the root.sh script after the runinstaller, but root.sh is empty :
> more root.sh
#!/bin/sh
>
Does anybody know why that might be and how I could fix it ?
Thanks a lot for any help.
Cornelia
