The Oracle Database Administrator installs, maintains, monitors, and
optimizes Oracle databases and applications on a variety of systems
under the general direction of the Director of Application Services.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information
Management, or related field plus Oracle's Masters Certification
(desirable). Five years or more of Oracle DBA experience. Recent
experience in Oracle Version 7.3 (or higher) in multi-database,
multi-instance production and development Unix and NT environments.
Recent and significant experience with: Day-to-day DBA duties in
multi-instance production and development environments. Intermediate
level experience in Unix and NT installations. Business analyst
experience with participation in relatively large and complex
development project. Configuration management. Oracle parallel server
technology in DEC Alpha Tru-Cluster environment is highly desirable,
as is experience with Data warehouse technology and methodology. Must
demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to work as a
member of a team in close alliance with business units.
