export on Oracle8

If have a small database on Oracle7 the export file has a size of about
400MB. The duration of a full export is about 20 minutes. I installed
the same database on the same machine on oracle8. I import the the
Oracle7 export. Afterwards I export the Oracle8 database. The duration
of this export spents over 4 hours.


Has anybody an idea how to speed up the export?
