I am a student at Georgia institute of technology in Atlanta and I am
working on my senior
design project. I am writing a web site application similar to Slashdot
but with inbuilt security
that works within a local network. I would like to know what kind of
license I would need to get
to sell this because a company has expressed interest in buying it once
we are finished. My
application will only use one user name to access the database but may
be talked to by
one to several thousand users depending on the amount of employees the
company has.
The application will probably run on a Windows NT or 2000 machine with 2
300 - 500 Mhz
processors with 128 Mb of RAM. My question is how much would a license
cost for this
application? Also would license costs be cheaper if the machine had 1
processor and if so how
much cheaper?
