be careful when you modify the kernel tunables. At least for SEMOPM it won't suffice to simply idtune it; you'll have to edit /etc/conf/mtune.d/ipc too, to raise the maximum allowed value. Another problem that I have encountered is that SHMMAX, on at least two machines with 8Gb of ram, was not automatically set to half the memory, but was set to a few more than 10Mb. If you have more than 4Gb of memory, remember to install the dhsm package and to set the DEDICATED_MEMORY tunable to the amount of memory you reserve for dshm (tipically mem - 4gb)
