Attachments in PO Rel 11i

We are planning for an upgrade from 10.7SC to 11i. One of our challenges involves attachments such as Excel or Word documents. Our current version allows us to attach text, images and other files (such as Excel or Word documents) to the requisition, and they pass through normally to the PO as expected.

In the current version, they do not print with the PO even though they have been designated "to supplier". The only documents which actually print through the standard Oracle interface are those created and saved in Oracle text format. (At this time, we are using a third-party solution to make these documents print.)

The 11i "Statement of Direction" states "You can provide additional information to audiences like approvers, buyers and supplier by attaching text, URLs and files to the requisition. These attachments can be transferred through the system to purchase orders and other documents."

Does anyone know if these documents (such as Excel or Word files) are going to be printed by Oracle in 11i? Or will they merely pass through and stay as attachments (like they do now) but not be rendered by the Oracle print routine?
