Greetings.

We have a developer 2000 forms application with MS word documents embedded that are stored as long raw columns in Oracle DB v 8.0.5. We need a historical table from this information, thus we require to copy them to another table. Through PL/SQL we just have get copy the documents with a length less than 32 kb. Another solution we found was a pro*c program, but we don't know how to trigger it from the client application.

Oracle has suggested the migration from long raw to blob data type for data base control reasons. We got to convert this information, but our Developer 2000 forms application can't see the blob data.

Is there any way that Developer 2000 could access this data or we need To keep long raw data type ?

Thanks in advance.
