Did you ever get a solution to your not being able to "CONNECT INTERNAL" ? I have the same problem on NT 4.0 sp4 using a brand new install of Oracle 8.1.5. When I run svrmgrl and type

CONNECT INTERNAL I am prompted for a password. I have
tried, "manager", "change_on_install" and "oracle", which all fail.

Ideas ?
