After getting the database to finally install and link ( a headache in itself as the docs are wrong ), I can't seem to get the listener to start here is what my listener.log looks like:

System parameter file is /u01/oracle/product/734/network/admin/listener.ora Log messages written to /u01/oracle/product/734/network/log/listener.log Trace information written to
/u01/oracle/product/734/network/trace/listener.trc Trace level is currently 0

Attempted to listen on:
(DESCRIPTION=(CONNECT_TIMEOUT=10)(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=IPC)(KEY=scpp))) TNS-12532: TNS:invalid argument
 TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
  TNS-00502: Invalid argument
SCO System V/386 Error: 22: Invalid argument

The TCP/IP adapter is installed, anybody got a clue as to what is going on ? Received on Sun Mar 05 2000 - 15:35:41 CST
