Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.misc -> Error connecting Oracle8i via EJB
Hi all, I hope, somebody can help me. I'm trying to connect an Oracle
8i-Server through EJB and it doesn't work. The service string i use is
'sess_iiop://feivel:2481:orcl', where feivel is the hostname. The listener is
configured at the ports 1521 for net8-Clients and 2481 for IIOP-Clients like
the standard configuration. The Host and the Client are WinNT. If I start
the program at the server, and could connect to the Database. Trying at the
client, it says 'javax.naming.CommunicationException: Unknown Service'. But
an row is added in the file Listener.log, which means 'Success' What I have
to take attention or I forgot? PS.: I've found a message from 08/05/1999,
where the tool java2iiop is suggested. But I didn't get it run. Help???
