Set transaction read-write command

I have question about 'Set transaction read-write ' command I think this command is use to control update or insert commands to garantee transaction .
But I don't know how to use this command!!! I 've go to tech.oracle.com and seach for this command.But there is a few describe about this command i only found 'set transaction transaction read-only ' instead.
Please suggest me
